Day to day I write functional Scala and design microservices
with Cats, Fs2, Http4s, Tapir, sttp and Circe.
I’ve spent years working with map data: OpenStreetMap, Overpass,
PostGIS and Elasticsearch, and with the infrastructure it all runs on:
Kubernetes, Kafka and CI/CD.
I’m fully fluent with AI in the loop — both as a daily tool and as
product engineering. On Caravaneo I run self-hosted LLMs (llama.cpp),
turn natural-language prompts into map filters, and ship a multi-turn
AI agent with session state. Offline pipelines build camp summaries
and aspect scores; NER and translation sit in the same stack (GLiNER, NLLB).
At work and on side projects I build with Claude and Cursor
every day — prompts, agents, reviews, the whole workflow. That skillset matters
as much as the language stack now.
Softwerk is how I invoice B2B work (since 2011) and ship my own products.
Early on that also meant iOS apps and websites.
After hours I do CAD, 3D printing, electronics and welding,
and keep rebuilding my camper van.
